ZPHS Maths teacher playing truant
Daultabad: At least 25 students of the Zilla Parishad High School here have failed in mathematics in the recent SSC public examinations on account of the dereliction to duty by senior assistant maths Urisanna and maths teacher N Narsimlu.
In a written complaint to the Vikarabad District collector Sayyad Omar Jaleel here on Monday, Village sarpanch M Parvatamma and 13 students of the school objected to the conduct of Urisanna. According to them, Urisanna daily signs in the register, but goes out on his personal work. He was accused of not completing the syllabus leading to the students’ failure.
He was also accused of not taking refresher classes for the failed students during the summer. Though he was appointed in-charge for conduct of exams, he is not giving any information related to examinations to students. Moreover, he is not available on telephone. He is not to be seen even if the students want to remit their examination fees.
Several students and residents of Daultabad have been expressing their displeasure over the style of functioning of the teachers. In spite of warned by head master on numberous occasions, the teacher turned a deaf ear, it is alleged. The District Collector was urged to take suitable action against the erring teachers, including Usanna.
