CII to hold ‘Corporate Greenathon’ on June 3

 Somajiguda: CII Telangana in association with Pallavi International School and Hyderabad Runners is organizing Corporate Greenathon on June 3 at Pallavi International School, Gandipet.

The objective of the Greenathon is to promote a healthier, happier and Greener Corporate living by adopting an active lifestyle. The run will be flagged of by Mohd Azharuddin, former Indian cricketer and Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries, Government of Telangana.

Director and Head of CII Telangana State office Subhajeet Saha said that World Environment day which take place on 5 June and as the theme of this year ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’, CII in collaboration with Pallavi International School is organizing a   Corporate Greenathon on June 3 to create awareness on not to use plastic. 

While plastic has many valuable uses, we have become over reliant on single use or disposable plastic with severe environmental consequences. Around the world one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute. 500 billion disposable plastic bags are used worldwide every year.
