Siddipet municipality bags SKOCH-2018 award
Siddipet: Another national level award has been added in the kitty of prestigious awards for Siddipet Municipality. The town which had won the ‘Cleanest Town’ recently, has bagged ‘SKOCH Order of Merit Award’ for the year 2018 and the ward will be presented on the three-day 52nd SKOCH Summit at New Delhi on from June 21 to 23.
The award is conferred on the municipality after the powerpoint presentation by the Siddipet Municipal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy presented on May 9 on various development works in the municipality after invited as part of 52 summit of SKOCH across the country.
The award having been rated and qualified on three parameters, namely, early bird, jury evaluation and popular vote and conferred in 6 nominations including Sustainable City by Use of Technology-City Livelihood Centre, Sustainable AMRUT City, Environment and Sustainability, Sustainable e-Governance, Sustainable Clean City-Effective implementation of SBM and Sustainable Governance –Use of Technology.
The Municipal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy expressed his happiness over winning the award in 6 nominations which is an instance of great determination and all round efforts of Minister Harish Rao and the municipal staff and council.
The Commissioner, who thanked the unparalleled cooperation of the Minister and people of the town, exuded his confidence to continue the same spirit to keep the prestige of the town as the best municipality in the future too. So far, Siddipet Municipality bagged three national level awards including Swachh Sarvekshan award, Swachh Excellence Award in this year and 11 more national and state level awards in the last year.
