Upparguda faces severe water scarcity

Malkajgiri: The Upparguda area in the East Anandbagh division is facing water shortage for the last one month as there is only one bore to meet the needs of the entire colony. Another bore has become disused. Non-supply of water tankers is adding to the problem. Several representations by residents to officials have not yielded the desired results.

When they approached local Corporator Akula Narsing Rao he admitted the water problem in Upparguda. He informed The Hans India that new pipelines from the reservoir were  being provided with the cooperation of Water Board DE Deepak, while appealing to the residents to observe restraint for some days when the problem would be solved.  Residents Sunita, Uma, Pentamma, Saroja and Meena were among those who met the corporator.
