2 farmers die of sunstroke

Chinna Shankarampet: Two more farmers lost their lives in two various incidents in two mandals due to sunstroke while they were standing in the long queue lines of Rythu Bandhu Scheme cheques in front of the banks in order to withdraw money.  

50-year-old Mahammad Johny of Rudraram village of Chinna Shankarampet mandal suffered severe sunstroke while he was standing in the queue line from 09:30 am in the morning at bank to withdraw his crop investment support cheque of Rs 1,350 at SBI branch at the mandal headquarters after waiting for more than 4 hours and collapsed at around 2:00 pm and died on the spot.

In another similar incident, Pedda Siddi Ramulu (70) a resident of Mailaram village of Ramayamapet mandal, died of sunstroke in front of the bank at the mandal headquarters after withdrawing his RBS cheque. Also another farmer Kashaiah was also indisposed due to the scorching heat.
