NPC to verify water connection data

 Hyderabad: National Productivity Council (NPC) to conduct survey of the households in order to ascertain the correctness of data pertaining to their tap water connection. The survey mainly comprises obtaining plot area, plinth area of the building and type of activity existing. Based on the survey details of NPC, HMWSSB intends to correct the details of connections in its database.   

The Water Board is presently having 9.4 Lakh connections under various categories such as domestic, commercial, industrial and MSBs etc. The Board intends to verify the correctness of data of consumers periodically as several complaints are received at various levels about change in the status of the buildings causing loss of revenue. The HMWSSB has randomly picked 40,000 households from its database to verify the field details and cross check the same with its database to assess. 

Hence the consumers in general and households identified for survey in particular are requested to cooperate with HMWSSB to conduct the above survey through National Productivity Council which is programmed to be completed by end of June 2018.
