Uppal police cracks theft case in a day
Uppal: The sleuths of Uppal police station cracked a theft case in a day. According to Malkajgiri DCP Umamaheswara Sarma who addressed the media on Monday, A businessman Upender of Annapurna Colony went to hospital to visit his relatives by keeping his aged mother alone at home.
A minor girl, a neighbour entered the home and engaged the aged woman with her talkative skills. Later, she entered into the bedroom and stole cash worth Rs 96,000, 10 tolas of gold and five tolas of silver.
Upender, who returned back to the home in the evening, noticed the theft and complained to the police. The police along with Clues Team and dog squad swung into action and found the minor girl as the accused. They took her into the custody where she confessed of committing the crime. They recovered the stolen items and arrested Kalyani of Ramnagar who kept the stolen items with her. Kalyani was sent to police remand, whereas the minor girl was shifted to Juvenile home.
