Free cancer screening camp held
Hyderabad: Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute conducted a free cancer screening camp on Thursday. 22 suspected patients were tested and some were further referred to hospital for further investigations.
Medical team lead by Dr Jonathan and Dr Sudhir and others counselled the patients and also clarified various doubts raised by them. During the screening, those suggested by doctors to undergo other diagnostic tests have been conducted with a discount of 25%.
Further, students from Nursing College and Nursing School conducted special cancer awareness programme in the hospital. These students went across the hospital and met several patients to create awareness and also clarified various doubts raised by them.
They also distributed phamplets during the campaign. All these programs were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Kalpana Raghunath, Medical Superientendent and Dr Sadhasiva Reddy, Camp Coordinator.
