Drainage works at a snail’s pace leaves residents fuming
Malkajgiri: Residents of Bramarambika Nagar are facing severe inconvenience caused by accumulation of sewage after drainage work launched a month back has been left incomplete and is overflowing on the main road. Vehicle-users are also facing hardships as the road with pits is narrow.
Pits dug for the work filled with sewage have become a source of foul smell. Repeated appeals of the residents to officials to complete the work have been met with no response. Some residents like G D Srinivas told The Hans India that the work was irregular and going on at a slow pace as those involved were taking a break after three days.
He appealed to the local corporator and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to complete the drainage work at the earliest to end the woes of the residents.
