Harish lauds TRS govt for launching pro-poor welfare schemes
Gajwel: Lambasting the previous government in the state, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Monday, said the TRS government had taken up historical decisions and introduced welfare schemes for the people in an unprecedented manner which had been impossible for the Congress government during the undivided Andhra Pradesh for decades.
The Minister, at Gajwel, participated in the distribution of gift packets of Ramadaan festival for 425 poor Muslim families and Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Laxmi Scheme cheques of Rs 100,116 for 200 poor brides’ families at a function hall. He announced the sanction of Rs 1 crore in ten days for the construction of additional kitchen shed, compound wall, dining hall for the Shaadikhana at Gajwel which would be thrown open in three months.
The Minister ridiculed the reign of the Congress in the past by saying the constructions of pakka houses for poor were stalled at basement level with the sanction of mere Rs 60,000 per house and even the poor families were also suffered with half-filled stomachs with the provision of 20 kg rice per family for a month under PDS.
But, now the face of the constituency and as well as the state has been completely changed by the TRS government with unparalleled welfare schemes of drinking water, double bedroom houses, market yards, education hub, veg, non-veg market, mini tank bund at Pandavula Cheruvu, Auditorium and irrigation projects including upgradation of Gajwel Area Hospital from 50 to 100 beds with ICU, Dialysis centre, Blood Bank which would be sanctioned soon.
MLC Farukh Hussain said the TRS government was offering higher education at foreign countries with Rs 20 lakh worth grant for Muslim students. ‘’Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is presenting these gift packs for Ramadaan festival with a humane touch providing assurance to the every Muslim family.
MP Prabhakar Reddy, MLC P Sudhakar Reddy, GADA Hanumantha Rao, RDO Vijayendar Reddy and others including R&R Company chairman Syed Hameed were participated. Later, the Minister distributed the Ramadaan largesse to 3,000 families at Siddipet on the day along with Municipal Chairman Rajanarsu and others.
