Success of YLF meets boost morale of youth
Tandur: The YLF leadership and cadre are in a jubilant mood following success of the Yuva Prabhanjanam meeting held at Vikarabad on Thursday.
Thousands turned out at the public meeting, which was held braving all odds and seeking Hyderabad High Court intervention as the police cancelled permission given to it in the last minute. The YLF alleges that the official machinery had made attempts to cancel the registration of the YLF and the police tried to play the spoilsport.
The YLF is brimming with confidence as it held the public meeting successfully overcoming all the hurdles. Youth attending the meeting from every nook and corner of the district brought cheers to the leadership. Several speakers exhorted the youth to play their role in cleansing of the political system and asked them to contest for various political offices like ZPTC, MPP, MLA, and MP and so on.
Denouncing the family rule prevalent in various political outfits, Lok Satta President Jayaprakash Narayan exhorted the youth at the grassroots level should take active part in politics to establish gram swaraj to spell the doom for the family rule. He insisted that the youth should not subserve the interests of the major political parties. The practice should end henceforth once for all, he advocated.
vYLF president Rohit Reddy, referring to attempts of vested interests at thwarting the meeting, said some leaders made a bid to stall the meeting and warned them against stepping on the toes of the youth as locking horns with the youth mean asking for trouble.
His speech infused enthusiasm among the youth. Over 1200 had laid down their lives for the sake of Telangana, majority of them being the youth, he said. Referring to some leaders’ criticism of the youth plunging into politics, he warned them against underestimating the power of the youth, who would have no problem in dislodging leader of any stature provided they apply their mind to it.
Rohit Reddy has announced to try his luck from Tandur Assembly constituency in the 2019 polls. Political analysts say the success of the Yuva Prabhanjanam meeting sent shivers down the spine of leaders of various political outfits besides boosting the morale of the youth in the district.
