Petbasheerabad: The local police are making herculean efforts to achieve a crime-free society and to check the crime rate by installing 64 CCTV cameras in their limits including gated communities like Alanna’s Palm Meadows in Gundlapochampalli with the contributions made by residents of various colonies. These cameras are part of the efforts by the Cyberabad Commissioner of police to install about 50,000.

At the inauguration of CCTV cameras on Sunday, Petbasheerabad CI Ravichandra stated that the 4 megapixel variety had most clarity with high quality range and storage facility for 90 days. While complimenting the colony residents, he assured that the police would do their best to check crime with the help of CCTV cameras.

He said such cameras enable prevention/detection of offences in shortest possible time and would act as a deterrent for criminals. The CI urged residents to all colonies to install CCTV cameras even in small lanes.
