Showers raise hopes of farmers

Sangareddy: Slight showers raised hopes of farmers in Sangareddy district. Farmers are gung ho about the coming days as the monsoon arrived in time. Farmers have been busy preparing the soil for sowing. 

Many parts of Medak district experienced slight showers in the last few days.  Gangaiah, a farmer said, “We are hopeful that this year we would have a good crop and with the government helping with cheques for seeds we would not have to depend on money lenders.”
