Govt forms high-level scrutiny panel

Hyderabad: Telangana government has formed a high-level scrutiny committee to process the applications of the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities. The committee is comprised of chairman and four members. Minorities Welfare principal secretary/special secretary will be the chairman and members include SCD department principal secretary, JNTUH vice chancellor, Technical Education commissioner and Minorities Welfare director.

CM’s overseas scholarship scheme for minorities

This was done after the minorities welfare director requested the government to constitute an administrative scrutiny committee for effective implementation of the scheme. The overseas scheme was introduced with an intention to facilitate the students of Minority communities to pursue post graduate and doctoral courses in foreign universities.B
