Having toilets is respecting women, says Sangareddy Collector

Sangareddy: During the inspection on the implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) in villages, District Collector V Venkateshwrlu on Tuesday said that having or constructing toilets at home means respecting the women of our family. 

The Collector visited Konapur village and appreciated a housewife Aliveni, who got a toilet constructed at her house by her husband despite her in-laws did not cooperate. The Collector, who resolved the drinking water supply problem in the village, lauded the determination of the housewives and said the villagers to maintain sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene for a healthy life.

Later, reiterating the need of toilet at every household, the Collector visited the houses in Kothur village of Koher mandal which has no toilet facility and completed the construction of the toilet by giving his hand to the masonry to make the village Open Defecation Free. RDO Hameed, Tahsildars, MPDOs, and village sarpanches participated in the programme.
