Drainage overflowing problem resolved in Anjaneya Nagar

Moosapet: After many representations regarding the drainage overflowing issue in Anjaneya Nagar, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials resolved the drainage overflowing issue and started the underground drainage pipeline work in the area.

The residents and commuters were frustrated with persistent problem with drainage in Anjaneya Nagar which was posing danger. The residents claimed that all their complaints were in vain for three months, but one of the residents of Anjaneya Nagar went to Prajavani programme and met the Deputy Commissioner of Moosapet and requested him to solve the issue.

The complaint to the officials was given on June 6 and they agreed to complete it, from next day the drainage problem started solving and completed on June 17. From three months this drainage has been the serious concern for the residents of Anjaneya Nagar, therefore after three months of waiting the drainage issue got cleared and the pipeline work is been started by the GHMC officials.

Suresh the resident of Anjaneya Nagar said, “The stench from the drainage water is something we had to go through every day but the temporary solution for the drainage is helping people.” In this monsoon season it is really difficult for us to identify potholes and walking becomes difficult and the officials helped us by solving this issue, he added. The Deputy Commissioner of Moosapet T Dasharath said, “The problem of the drainage is been completed but over 40 per cent of drainage are choked with plastic, and it can only be stopped when people will stop throwing the garbage in nalas”. 

Corporator of Moosapet Thumu Shravan Kumar said, “The drainage which was serious problem for the residents of Anjaneya Nagar and they were highly disappointed, was at lost resolved.” By showing concerned about the problem they kept complaining continuously after which the contractors made their mind to clear the drainage from this area and the work is completed. The roads which are dug are for inserting pipelines for the area people this will soon be completed, he adds.
