SCB members call on Defence Minister
Secunderabad: The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) members led by the vice president Ramakrishna met the Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday on issues ranging from building bye-laws, implementation of building regularization scheme, building penalization scheme and arrears that are to be received towards service charges from the army.
SCB vice president J Ramakrishna said that the building bye laws are more than 80 years old and the board had approved the revised by laws in October 2017 and proposals were sent to higher authorities for approval. Another issue that was brought to the notice of the minister was the arrears of Rs 466 crore. The team requested the minister to allot Rs 50 crore for this financial year on account of service charges.
