GHMC officials raid shops, seize plastic bags

Serilingampally: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Serilingampally officials raided shops and seized plastic bags here on Monday. Deputy Commissioner Mamatha strictly checked every shop along with other GHMC officials.

Deputy Commissioner Mamatha said, “GHMC officers collected plastic below 50 microns from 38 shops and quantified 90 KGS of plastic bags. Strictly, warned vendors that not to use plastic.” Suresh shopkeeper at Serilingampally said, “It is a good initiative for all the citizens because the usage of plastics is not only spoiling environment but also spoiling animals and human beings health. Thus we all make sure that there is no usage of plastics around us.”
