New office building of Tandur mandal parishad lying idle
Tandur: The recently built Mandal Prishad office at a cost of Rs 1 crore with all amenities is left in the lurch. The building will become a dilapidated structure soon. The official apathy is being blamed for allowing the building to decay.
It houses meeting hall, special rooms for the MPPS and ZPTCs. MPDO meeting hall, waiting hall for visitors, special rooms for the officials and so on. The flooring of the building has been done excellently. Minister P Mahender Reddy inaugurated the structure, built on the premises of the mandal revenue office, in April last.
The structure also housed general body meeting of the mandal parishad. For the last three months, the lock of the building remained unopened. The activities of the mandal parishad office are continuing from the old building. The rationale behind functioning from the old office keeping the new office built spending Rs 1 crore idle is not understood.
