Collector asks officials to utilise services of Federation of SHGs
Vikarabad: District Collector Omar Jaleel on Wednesday asked the district officials to run fair-price shops with the help of federation of self-help groups of women as 588 FP dealers in the district are going on strike with effect from July 1.
Reviewing alternative arrangements for distribution of essential commodities, he asked the officials to utilize anganwadi centers, community halls and panchayat bhavans and distribute the commodities among the poor. He asked the officials to take posession of the scales and weights from the dealers.
He asked t hem to take the help of VROs, VRAs and VOS if necessary. He asked the district supply officer Padmaja to give them necessary training.
DRDO Johnson, district welfare officer Jyoshna, district manager civil supplies Praveen Kumar, revenue divisional officer Viswanadham, chairperson of federation of women SHGs Indira, tahsildars and others took part in the review meeting.
