Hyderabad: The six-week Foundation Course for the first batch of Group-I Officers after the formation of Telangana, conducted by Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana, concluded on Sunday.

“Group-I Officers, on account of their important positions in their respective organizations, can increase happiness quotient by providing people-centric governance, being available for people 24x7, welcoming ambience in the offices for a commen man, understanding their genuine problems, and taking decisions, free from all biases, in order to find enduring solutions for them”, he stated.

Eatala said that Telangana State, on account of its innovative flagship schemes, has emerged as a role model for other States across the country. He called upon the Group-I Officers to contribute their might to the growth trajectory of the State by dedicating themselves to the society and such values as honesty, transparency, creativity and above all, multifaceted development of the poorest of the poor.

Chief Secretary to Government B P Acharya said that while knowledge about job is important in its own right, the ultimate success of an officer primarily depends upon his right attitudes and deep commitment to serve the society. “Developing the quality of empathy by the Group-I Officers  in order to understand the felt needs and true problems, from people’s point of view, is a precondition for the conceptualization and deliver of innovative services at their doorsteps“, he added.
