MIM Leader alleges Life Threat from Heera Group Chairman

Hyderabad: Alleging that he was facing life threat from Heera Group, chairman Nowhera Shaikh, the MIM leader Shahbaz Ahmed Khan who has been a vocal critic of the company’s business model lodged a police complaint on Monday. 

The leader who has been vociferously campaigning against the business model of Heera Group alleged that ever since he started questioning about the ‘dubious’ nature of the business which offers investors a monthly return of Rs 3,000 per Rs 1 lakh, he has been facing life threat from the business woman-turned-politician. 

Ever since Nowhera started this business, thousands have invested, while on the other hand critics have also grew, who questioned the lack of transparency in the businesses. 

Shahbaz is amongst these critics, who continue to believe that the group would defraud the investors one day. “At least three investors have approached me to help them.

Hence, I request the police department to enquire into the businesses of the Heera Gold. For the past eight years, I have been facing threat from the woman,” he alleged.

Following the complaint, the MIM leader claimed that Nowhera has targeted him first by alleging ‘rape attempt’ in 2010, which has been not been proved. He alleged that a ‘contract killer’ named Sikander was sent to ‘kill him’ in 2012. 

“Not withstanding she filed Rs 100 crore defamation case against me in 2016, which was not proved. Later, she also lodged a complaint against me in Mumbai in 2017 alleging extortion of Rs 5 crore on which Mumbai police is mum now,” he added. 
 
While referring to the website and social media of the Heera Group of companies with its operations in countries in Gulf, Africa, Canada besides India, Shahbaz held that the exact locations of Heera Finance Capital India Ltd and location of upcoming Heera International University and School are not shown its website. 

It may be mentioned here that her All-India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) contested 221 of the 225 seats in the Karnataka assembly with its diamond symbol. Hailing from Tirupati, Nowhera Shaik's Heera group of companies has its India head office at Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
