1 kg gold, ` 4 lakh stolen from jewellery shop in Beeramguda

Sangareddy:  In a true filmy style robbery, a group of armed robbers, including females, broke into Sri Jaya Bhavani Jewellery shop at Beeramguda in Ameenpur mandal of the district on Tuesday and decamped with one kg of gold ornaments and Rs 4 lakh cash. 

According to police, the robbers threatened the shop owner Jayaram and sprinkled chilli powder in his eyes and hit him with a revolver and escaped with gold ornaments and cash. On a tip off, DSP Sitaram rushed to the crime scene and launched investigation with the help of the CCTV footage. The injured shop owner was shifted to a private hospital. Sangareddy SP Chandrasekhar Reddy visited the shop and went through the CCTV footage.
