GHMC officials create awareness on plastic ban

Malkajgiri: With the plastic ban in the city, the Greater Hyderabad Municipality Corporation(GHMC), Malkajgiri Circle, has taken an initiative to levy fine to the vegetable vendors in weekly markets in any case of packaging vegetables in plastic bags. 

They also conducted awareness campaign to educate the vendors about the ill-effects on usage of plastic. The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Venu Gopal, Revenue and sanitation officials.
