Citizens urged to get assessment done right from home
Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy, appealed to all the citizens who have constructed their houses and willing to come forward to make their Property Tax Assessment. People can avail the opportunity of submitting their Property Tax Assessment particulars online to get the Assessment done without coming to the GHMC Office, he said.
The GHMC has introduced this system for the benefit of the citizens to make their Property Tax Self-Assessment without coming to their respective circle or Head Office. So far around 1,180 Self-Assessment applications have been applied through online in which around 900 assessments have already been made and cleared. The remaining applications, the Commissioner directed the officials to clear it on priority and call for the explanation from the concerned for the delay of disposing of the Self-Assessment through online system.
He held a review meeting with all the Addl. Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, AMCs and senior officials of the Revenue and Tax Wings on Thursday at GHMC Head Office and discussed various issues relating to Property Tax Assessments, Revenue Related Subjects, Revision of Electoral Rolls, IT Related issues and given certain directions to all the concerned Heads to sort out the issues at the earliest to dispose of the grievances and other Tax and Revenue related issues for the convenience of the citizens and Property Tax Payers.
The Commissioner, GHMC has given clear directions to all the officials to work with moral responsibility and to dispose of whatever the issue on the same day without any further delay. The Commissioner directed the Addl. Commissioners (Revenue, IT, Finance) to have regular meetings with banks, CGG and other connected wings of various Govt., Heads of the Departments to have a good coordination and interacted among themselves to dispose of the grievances on priority without giving any scope of inconvenience to the citizens.
