BCs stage protest for quota hike

Hyderabad: Demanding hike in reservations, leaders and workers of National Backward Classes Welfare Association staged protest under the leadership of their president R Krishnaiah at Hyderabad Collectorate on Friday.

The other demands include – quota hike from 25 to 52 per cent in education and employment; hike from 34 to 56 percent in panchayats; 50 per cent in legislatures; sanction of loans on subsidy to 5,77,000 applicants through BC Corporation and BC Federation; allotment of 500 residential schools and 100 Degree colleges; Hostel buildings. Leaders Satyanarayana, G Krishna, N Venkatesh, Jayapal Mudiraj, V Ramya, were present.
