Street puppies in Secunderabad adopted on World Zoonosis Day

Secunderabad: On World Zoonosis Day street puppies across the city were adopted under Maa Inti Nestham Programme. The programme was held in different localities which also included special sale of counters in Malkajgiri.

As part of the programme, many street puppies were adopted, some were given vaccination and owners too were explained about need to prevent dogs from getting infections. Rabies is a major problem and cases could easily be avoided if proper preventive measures are taken, said a GHMC official. Special sale counters were set up at Secunderabad, Kukatpally, Malkajgiri, New Bhoiguda and other shelters.
