Police nab Rohingya Muslims with fake Indian passports

Rachakonda: The sleuths of Balapur police under Rachakonda Commissionerate on Monday nabbed two Myanmar Rohyingya Muslim refugees for illegally obtaining illegal documents like passport by making false representations. 

The accused, 34-year-old Abdul Khair worked as a labour and resided near Fatima Masjid at Royal Colony, Balapur village. The accused Joor Alam is absconding, said the police. Khair, a native of Myanmar illegally entered into India via Bangladesh during the communal violence triggered between the Myanmar Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims. 

Subsequently the accused got the refugee status in India through the intervention of UNHCR. hereafter, the accused having got the knowledge regarding Myanmar refugees staying at Hyderabad, the accused came here and started eking out a life working as a labourer, said police.
