Three journalists die of cardiac arrest in erstwhile Medak
Siddipet: Three journalists died of heart attack on Monday in the erstwhile Medak district. Journalist Venkata Swami Goud, who was working for a Telugu daily for Dubbaka mandal in Siddipet district, died on Monday morning due to the failure of heart functioning. In Sangareddy district, senior Journalist Srinivas of Tekmal mandal also died on Monday due to cardiac arrest.
In another incident, a former TV Journalist Siddi Ramulu, who belong to Chinna Shankarampet, died on the same day due to heart stroke at his home. The Journalists’ Associations of Siddipet, Medak and Sangareddy districts expressed their deep condolences to the journalists who died due to cardiac arrest and announced their support to deceased families. Responding on the untimely demises of the journalists Irrigation Minister Harish Rao expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased.
The Minister said that the journalists need to take care of their health despite doing their round the clock duty for the welfare of the society. State Secretary of TUWJ (IJU) Virahat Ali, journalist unions district presidents K Rangachary, MAK Faizal, K Mallikharjuna Reddy, Vishnu, Lok Ravichandra, Duragareddy and other journalists, who expressed serious concern on the working journalists’ health and deep condolences to the families of deceased journalists.
In another similar incident, another scribe Ashok, who was working as district staffer of Karimnagar district for a Telugu daily also died of heart attack on Sunday night. In total, four journalists died within the period of twenty four hours.
