Book on healthcare studies released

Banjara Hills: A book entitled ‘Equity and Access Health Care Studies’ was released and discussed at Lamakaan on Thursday. Authored by Purendra Prasad and Amar Jesani the book discusses the complex narrative of inequities in the health sector and the underlying forces that contribute to the situation. 

It draws attention to the way globalization has influenced India’s trajectory as healthcare issues have assumed significant socio-economic and political significance. The neglect of health care in public policy and democratic politics were discussed at a great length with brief insight.
