SFI submits memorandum to Kadiyam

Musheerabad: Seeking State government’s opposition to Central government’s decision to scrap UGC, SFI state committee leaders submitted a memorandum to Minister for Education, Kadiyam Srihari here on Monday.
SFI state president M Tirupathi said that they requested the minister to send a letter to Centre in this regard. He opined that scrapping of UGC would affect the autonomy of Universities. It would lead to political interference in higher education and poor students would be deprived of higher education. SFI state committee vice-president RL Murthy, City president M Ashok Reddy, OU president Prem, leaders Ravi, Mallesh, Srikanth, Yesu Babu, Pawan were present.
