Homeless locals begin new life at allotted 2 BHK houses in Nacharam

 ​Nacharam: The Telangana State has allotted double bedroom houses to all the local homeless poor families in Nacharam with basic facilities in June.

Speaking to Devender Reddy, Mallapur corporator, said, “3 months back the construction work was completed, and it was inaugurated by KTR in June. The locals here shifted to the 2BK colony and we have provided with basic facilities and if there is any problem they could call me.”

Speaking to Nayak, president of the Singam Cheruvu Thanda 2BK colony, said, “It took one year to complete the double bedroom project which started in November 2016 and was allotted in April to the locals. The budget provided was Rs 14 cr for the completion of the project. There are 11 blocks in the 2BK colony and only 3 blocks were not filled yet.

186 double bedrooms are provided to us with basic facilities and there is no water problem in the 2BK colony. There is a playground for the children and a mile’s stone to the colony there was Delhi Public School where colony students can study with respect, he said.

Speaking to the locals, “Before double bedroom are provided to us, we did not have basic facilities also in our house and after shifting to 2BK colony we are saving our money for our children and there is a 24-hour electricity and water facilities in the colony and now we are living happy in this 2BK colony”.
