257 properties to be grounded for Habsiguda flyover
Uppal: A total of 257 properties will be affected in connection with the construction of the Habsiguda to Uppal - 900 mts, Uppal to Ramanthapur – 1,200 mts flyover at Uppal junction. The flyover is being constructed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in collaboration with the National Highway Authority (NHA) at a cost of Rs 300 cr for the construction of the flyover. While the properties in Ramanthapur have already been acquired and compensation to the locals has been already paid, said officials.
Speaking to Venkat Reddy, chief engineer of this project said, “The upcoming flyover at Uppal will reduce the traffic problem and reduce accidents.” The project will start by the end of this year. As per the plan proposed 75 mts on both the sides of the roads will be affected, the value action plan is under process. The GHMC has already initiated the acquisition process.
