NRI donates $150 for poor students

Kacheguda: An NRI residing in USA, Bangaru Avantika on Wednesday donated US dollar 150 for the benefit of poor students. She handed over a cheque for the amount to Myadam Janardhan Rao, chairman, Munnurkapu Student Hostel. Speaking at the Hostel Trust Board office, she asserted that no happiness was greater than coming to the rescue of poor students in distress, while holding out an assurance of being in the forefront of always helping others.

Avantika confessed that she enjoyed in serving the cause of the poor. She stated that much more needs to be done for them and that she was praying to God for getting more strength in doing so. Rao pointed out that there was a need for youngsters to meet the needs of the poor with a spirit of social service. Such programmes, he said, would pave the way for increasing social responsibility of the youth. Prominent social worker Kothapalli Srikanth, among others, felicitated Avantika.
