BJP activists in Vikarabad demand lifting of ban on Paripoornananda
Vikarabad: Activists and leaders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajarang Dal on Thursday staged rasta rook at NTR cross roads in the town demanding unconditional withdrawal of ostracising of religious leader Swami Paripurnananda and imposing a ban on TV 9 channel for airing programmes hurting sentiments of the Hindus.
As a result of the rastaroko, movement of vehicular traffic has been affected. The police foiled the rastaroko, arrested the leaders and shifted them to the police station. Vikarabad district secretary of BJP along with party activists were taken into custody in Tandur while protesting against the arrest of Paripoornanada Swamy. The leaders termed the police action of confining the Paripurnananda Swamy to Andhra region away from Telangana as atrocious.
The elected governments became mute spectators when secularists and terrorists fomenting trouble in the country, which is predominantly a Hindu state. They warned of severe repercussions if the state government did not put in place remedial measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
