Gachibowli: For eight years, the residents of the Gachibowli village Street no 1 and Thejasree enclave apartments have been complaining to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials about laying a road in their area but officials turned blind eye. The residents alleged that as there are no roads at Gachibowli for years because of which they are facing inconvenience to move freely. Due to open drains and stagnation of water mosquitoes continue to breed. From entrance of the road to the slope of the end there is no road because of which the kacha road became an accidents prone place. No movement of vehicles for long time and open drainage in the village is making trouble to the people. It is particularly difficult to cross the road from the entrance itself, at every point they only find is potholes and mud. The commuters have to face this trauma more often as it is rainy season.

Surekha a resident of Tejashree apartment said, “This irregular contour road is causing inconvenience to move freely and it becomes a trauma to the villagers as well as the commuters. School going children are facing difficulty to reach their schools on time because of slow movement of the vehicles.  We have complained to the officials concerned but no one has come to resolve this issue. I work for an IT company but the private cab drivers blatantly refuse a ride to this part of the area and we are struggling to get basic infrastructure in this place”. The officials on this issue said, “Recently the Underground drainage (UGD) work had been completed and CC road has sanctioned at Gachibowli and officials will take up this issue shortly.”
