Armed robbers loot journalist’s house
Narayakhed: Armed robbers broke into a Journalist’s house and looted Rs 49,500 cash, 50 grams gold, 250 grams silver, two cell phones and other valuable items, here on early hours of Friday. According to the victim, Aleem, who has been working for the HMTV, a group of robbers broke into his house around 2 am. They wore monkey caps and gloves.
They threatened and tied the family members with a rope. The one-hour long robbery left the family in tense. Police and clues team reached the spot. Narayankhed Sub Inspector Narendar said they will catch the robbers as soon as possible. Residents of the colony and locals alleged that similar robberies and thefts have become common in recent days. They criticised police for taking light of the situation. They appealed for regular night patrolling and other measures to contain these kinds of incidents.
