Minister T Harish Rao angry over delay in laying service roads to highways

Zaheerabad:  Major Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Monday angered over the delay on the part of the contractors in laying of service roads and underpasses and noted that the delay claimed lives of at least 20 in road accidents. 

Laying of a service road is long pending at Huggilla and Digwal. An underpass at Indraprastan and Algor X roads and vehicular underpasses on Nizampur-Sadasivapeta and NK Palli are scheduled to be built. 

He pointed out that Nandikandi residents are demanding a service road to their village. He expressed displeasure over absence of accident warning signs, toilets and parking facility on highway near Zaheerabad. 

The Minister ordered the NHAI, officials and contractors to immediately start working on the Sangareddy-Nanded-Akola national highway works acquiring land for the same. He also directed the officials to initiate package-1 works of the Sangareddy-Rasanpalli highway.
