Smita Sabharwal inspects Jafarpur treatment plant
Parigi: Rural Water Supply Secretary in CMO Smita Sabharwal on Tuesday inspected purification of water at Jafarpur water treatment plant and supply of purified drinking water to habitats.
Water from intakewell at Kolluru, which is 260 km way, will reach here to be treated and the treated drinking water will be supplied to Vikarabad and Tandur municipalities and to 859 habitats in Vikarabad district.
She directed officials that drinking water should be supplied in bulk to all habitats. Adequate number of staff should be positioned at Jafarpur to solve minor hiccups in the supply.
He praised officials for good quality of structures at the head works facility of the water treatment plant. Officials explained the features of the relevant software that enables monitoring water supply and treatment online. She acquainted herself with methods of treating water in the laboratory.
She said pace of execution of works increased compared to earlier and deploy more workers to ensure bulk supply of drinking water to 210 habitats by August 15.
