Prisons DIG holds Haritha Haram at prisoners’ farm Plans to plant 1 lakh saplings
Kapra: DIG Prisons B Saidaiah took part in Haritha Haram programme at prisoners’ farm field at Cherlapally on Thursday. He said that they were planning to plant one lakh saplings. Superintendent V Rajesh, Jailors Ashok Kumar and Swami were present. Meanwhile, a team of 35 trainee magistrates who were being trained in Judicial Academy, Secunderabad, visited Central Prison at Cherlapally on Thursday.
They also visited farm field maintained by prisoners. Later, speaking to media, the trainee magistrates said that there was a change in prison inmates due to the reforms taken up by Telangana Prisons Department. They appealed to the inmates to utilise the jobs provided in the prisons. Superintendent MR Bhaskar, deputy superintendent Ch Dasaratham, jailors Devla Naik, Ratnam, Hanuman Prasad, Mogilesh, Devi Singh, Sanjeeva Redy, teacher Prashanth were present.
