MSME expo showcases innovative products
Hyderabad: The one-day MSME seminar & expo, 'GONAT 2018' hosted by BNI Hyderabad, to commemorate its 6th anniversary is showcasing innovative products. GONAT 2018 being attended by over 1500 delegates from across India, had eminent speakers such as Murali Bukkapatnam, a committed entrepreneur, mentor, orator, angel investor and start-up evangelist and Sujatha Burla, founder of Shradha Foundation, social activist and anchor, who has an inspiring story of a strong-willed women who from a state of Paralysis went on to become a professional Investor, Chennapa Naidu Darapaneni, CEO, MeraEvents, besides Murali Srinivasan.
Murali Srinivasan said, BNI has 239,947 members in 8,575 global chapters in 71 countries. Members globally passed on 10.1 million referrals which translated into over $14.8 Bn worth of business in the preceding twelve months alone. BNI India is one of the fastest growing and currently has 459 Chapters with over 22800 members in sixty-one cities, which are equally robust and growing from strength to strength.
Members in India did Rs. 8,400 crores of referral Business in the last year. Today, BNI has the second largest membership in India and outside USA, India has the largest membership. At the Global meet held recently, India won 140 awards out of 300 awards presented there, which was a very proud moment.
The faculty enlightened the audience comprising of entrepreneurs, on best business practices and shared their experiences in growing the businesses.
The One Day conference had a business expo, with 100 SMEs showcasing their innovative products and services, which turned out to be hugely popular amongst the visitors. Overall it served as a platform for the participants to exchange business referrals and explore partnerships, which enable them to take the big leap from being regional to national players.
BNI India is on the right track because it has achieved that critical momentum and we have reached a stage where members from other countries look up to us and emulate us. For BNI, Hyderabad has always been very special, it set the standards and that benchmark everyone else wants to emulate in the country. The goal for BNI Hyderabad for this year is to have 1800 members from the current 1100 plus members and do a business of Rs 1000 crores from Rs 650 crs done the previous year.
According to Sanjana Shah, GONAT Expo 2018 will give impetus to the Hyderabad based MSMEs, by creating an opportunity to showcase and interact with BNI members and visitors from across India, under one roof. Last year alone BNI Hyderabad facilitated Rs 650 crs of business and is continuing with its spree of fostering the growth of entrepreneurship and business in this part of the country, say Shah.
