Malkajgiri mandal Vaddera Welfare Association office-bearers installed

Malkajgiri: The new office-bearers of Malkajgiri mandal ‘Vaddera Welfare Association’ were installed here on Sunday under the leadership of All-India association leader Rambabu Vaddera. They include Sampangi  Ilayya (president), S  Mallesh (secretary-general). The All-India association leaders Vemula Lakshman, Gandhi Srinivas, Onti Puli and local Corporator Baddam Pushpalata were the chief guests.

The association leaders alleged that the Vaddera population was being shown as only 4 lakh whereas the actual figure across the State was 30 lakh. They demanded shifting of the community from BC-A to ST, allotment of labour ID cards, launch of ashram schools to Vaddera migrants and insurance policy to stone crushers, release of Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia to those killed in accidents, construction of community halls. Lakshman called upon the community to take its problems to the State government’s notice for finding solutions.
