Haritha Haram: 500 saplings planted at GIET college

Rajendranagar: Haritha Haram, a largescale tree planting programme was launched by the Government of Telangana in 2015. The goal is to plant 230 crore saplings to increase the greenery and save the environment.
At Global Institute of Engineering and Technology, to achieve the goal every year 500 – 1000 saplings are planted in the college campus and nurtured. On July 7, the Haritha Haram programme held at college campus with an aim to plant 500 saplings was inaugurated by DCP Shamshabad PV Padmaja, ACP Rajendranagar P Ashok and CI Moinabad G Venkateshwarulu. The students were involved to accomplish the responsibility of saving our planet by this Telanganaku Haritha Haram initiative.
