Government sanctions parallel RoB to existing one at Falaknuma
Hyderabad: The Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA and UD) have issued a Government Order issue Registration No. 615, on Friday for the construction of parallel Railway Over Bridge (ROB) to existing ROB at Falaknuma on Secunderabad. The government had sanctioned an amount of Rs. 47.10 crores for the construction of bridges, ROB, Railway Under Bridge (RUB) and Culverts. The construction of parallel ROB to existing ROB is to provide free flow of traffic.
The GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy has sent the proposals to the Standing Committee where the Standing Committee wide Resolution No. 326, on June 7 has accorded approval to send the proposals to the Government.
To meet the expenditure from GHMC funds and permit to go with calling of Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) mode of tenders and to call tenders pending acquisition of lands / properties and permit for simultaneous execution and land acquisition, and to engage PMC agency by calling tenders for supervision, Quality control audit of works and also to deposit the amount for the construction of bridge proper in railway portion to South Central Railways (SCR).
The government after careful consideration of the matter and accorded administrative sanction for the construction of parallel ROB to existing ROB at Falaknuma on Secunderabad – Falaknuma Broad gauge line for an amount of Rs 47.10 crore.
