MLC lauds youth for scaling 17,907-ft Mount Macho

Dundigal: A young man of Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Suraram, Badha Ramesh, has brought glory to Medchal district by scaling recently the 17,907 ft Mount Macho in the Himalayas (in Jammu & Kashmir) in minus degree snow. Member of the Legislative Council Sambipur raju, after the youngster made a courtesy call on him, lauded his efforts. 

The MLC presented a memento to Ramesh, son of a security guard Badha Raju and Balamani, with a promise to always support his bold adventure activity. The gusty man replied that he was ready to mount any peak if given an opportunity, after showing to the legislator the snap of the mount on which he had proudly hoisted the tricolor.

Speaking to The Hans India, Ramesh said that the successful completion of advanced course in Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering had enabled him to reach the peak on July 24.”I did my schooling from Stanley Grammar High School, Jeedimetla and completed under-graduation from Pranathi Degree College, IDPL. I was an NCC cadet from 2(T) Battalion, Secunderabad, for three years and completed ABC certificates. 

Through NCC I joined the Adventure Club of Telangana (ACTS) in 2016 out of my own interest. As an ACTS volunteer I organised and coordinated many adventure programmes. I completed my basic mountaineering course in 2017 from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports and scaled a peak in Arunachal Pradesh which was of 16,414 ft”.
