Banjara Hills: The multi-faceted Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar launched first International Radio Station Kool 104 in Hyderabad on Monday. The Radio station Kool 104 will be rendering select latest international chartbusters with a tinge of soulful evergreen hits. The FM station is launched to cater a genre of music lovers craving for best of English pop music and who follow contemporary international sensations. Farhan, in his usual avatar of amusing the crowd, had a quick chat with his fans and audience including the media at the successful launch of Kool 104.

What do you like about Kool 104?

I have grown up listening to classic bands and artists from the 70s to 90s. Most of them have influenced my writing and music. I’m sure Hyderabad’s first International Station Kool 104 will keep everyone hooked with best numbers!

What do you enjoy the most, being actor, singer of producer?

Whatever I do, I do it only if I enjoy it doing and passionate about it. I can’t differentiate between any roles. I have done those roles only when I felt comfortable and passionate about it. I can say I’ am fortunate to do things which I really enjoy.

How do you manage your children and work?

No matter what, a parent cannot stay cool with their kids and if one tries then he would be making it worse. The best is leave them alone and let them enjoy. When they need anything from you let them discuss it with you. I think the children appreciate if parents take out time and spend quality time with them from the busy schedules.

What is that thing which makes you cool?

I used to wear the rope tie because I felt they were cool and suited well at those times but now when I see the pictures I doubt that it was me who did all those things. The cool thing is just being yourself no matter who is watching you.

Who is coolest dude in the industry?

Amitabh Bacchhan is the coolest person I have seen and next would be Bruce Willis because no matter what dialogues are given to them, they make it cool and people love it.

When will make Bollywood make movies with social messages?

Firstly, I think it is wrong to say that Bollywood does not make social message relevance movies.  The producer invests a lot in a movie and it is the audience that makes a film successful or failure. Many films with social messages failed miserably at the box office, so why would a producer invest in such movies. Nobody wants to put monies in loss-making ventures. My parents taught me whatever you have, be grateful for that and be gratitude towards people because it is they who made you.
