Anjani Kumar flags-off Haj pilgrims

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Tuesday flagged-off the 12th batch of Haj pilgrims along with the Haj Committee members. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner requested the Haj pilgrims from the State to pray for peace and tranquility in Hyderabad. 

He said that they should pay attention to discipline, ensure cleanliness during prayers and while performing Haj to get maximum reward from God. 

He asked them to remain alert and keep their Identification related documents with them during their pilgrimage. 

Mohammed Masiullah Khan, chairman, State Haj Committee, described the pilgrims as guests of Allah and serving them was an honour for him. 

Mohammed Saleem, MLC and chairman of TS Waqf Board, advised the pilgrims to keep aloof from social media like WhatsApp, Facebook and taking selfies near any of the pilgrimage spots.

Prof, SA Shukoor, Special Officer, Haj Committee, said that the TS Haj Committee also makes arrangements for departure of Haj pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Akber Hussain, chairman, Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation, Shahnawaz Qasim, director Minorities Welfare Department , DCP Central Zone, Vishwa Prasad, DCP Traffic Babu Rao, Additional DCP 
Traffic Mohammed Tajuddin besides members of the Telangana State Haj Committee Arif Ahmed, Mohammed Amjad Ali, Mohammed Imtiaz Khan, Mohammed Arifuddin and others police officers were present on this occasion.

So far, 3,600 pilgrims from Hyderabad have reached Makkah. 

In view of the bandh call on Tuesday, the RTC buses were sent from Haj House Nampally to Haj terminal of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamsabad under police escort.
