Research exposure helped Sneha land in Google project
Vikarabad: We explore the Google for all and sundry information but it explored the creamiest of youth and shortlisted five persons, including a Telugu girl, to recruit them with a hefty pay package of Rs 1.20 crore per annum. We should be proud as one of them is a girl from Telangana Kudugunta Sneha Reddy, who hails from Vikarabad. They were chosen to work on artificial intelligence.
She completed B Tech (computer science) recently from IIT, Hyderabad and demonstrated her talent in various aspects. During the convocation held in Hyderabad recently, President Ramanth Kovind awarded her gold medal. Right from young age, Sneha Reddy was active in sports, academics and other extra-curricular activities. She passed Intermediate with 98.4 %. She got 15th rank in the IIT JEE (Mains) in 2014 and obtained 677th rank in the JEE (Advanced). Afterwards, she completed her B Tech (computer Science) from the IIT in Hyderabad.
When the Google started identifying young talents in the artificial intelligence to work on the project titled, “Natural language understanding”, Sneha competed online and cleared all the four rounds successfully. She could not attend the final round scheduled in USA as the dates clashed with another important exam. Noticing the spark in her, the Google conducted the test also online and recruited her to work on the project.
Commenting on Google recruiting her on the artificial intelligence project Sneha said,“ Encouraging students by IIT, Hyderabad to undertake research paid dividends. She got opportunity to work with noted research institutions while pursuing the B Tech. I got jobs in face book and other IT firms, but I selected the Google as it provides scope to undertake research.” Sudhakar Reddy, an elated father of Sneha, said that girls can surmount any amount of hurdles with ease if encouraged.
