STTA demands stoppage of train at Malkajgiri

Secunderabad: The Suburban Train Travellers Association (STTA) demanded stoppage of train at Malkajgiri, at 62nd Divisional Railway User’s Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting of Hyderabad division on Thursday at Hyderabad Bhavan under chairmanship of Arun Kumar Jain Divisional Railway Manager. 

The committee discussed various problems of passengers of Hyderabad division.  The Suburban Train Travellers Association Malkajgiri General Secretary and Member DRUCC Noor  raised issues like introduction of MMTS trains on Bolarum – Secunderabad- Lingampalli Section,  A subway between Malkajgiri- Lalaguda near abandoned  Railway Electric Pump House at Anandnagar an alternate to Goutham Nagar gate which is going to be closed ,  Construction of one more platform on east side  adjacent to old booking office to accommodate  all coming trains including MMTS trains by this 50% traffic coming by up trains will get down and safely move from station and to avoid old and disabled passengers  crossing tracks and going underneath of goods trains and Construction of steps to Uppuguda Booking office on Kacheguda – Kurnool section.

The stoppage of few express trains at Malkajgiri is under active consideration and Railway may take decision soon and implement it to avoid congestion at Kacheguda, Secunderabad and Hyderabad Stations. DRM informed that all steps are being taken to introduce MMTS trains on BOLARUM –Secunderabad section. The first phase MMTS was completed and started its operations on August 9, 2003 .On this occasion of 15thanniversary of MMTS services the suburban train Travellers Association felicitated  ArunKumar Jain  Divisional Railway Manager  Hyderabad division with bouquet and presented shawl l, All divisional  officers and DRUCC Members  and association members  A V Swamy, Noor, Y Sudha and vahida attended.
