Telangana State Minorities Commission to resolve legal problems

Hyderabad: The State Minorities Commission has decided to meet the Chief Secretary of Telangana Government to raise the issue of the difficulties being faced by people to get minority status and other certificates from the government.

During the meeting held in HMWSSB building in Kairatabad on Tuesday, which was attended by the commission’s chairman Md Qamarduddin, vice chairman and other members, it was decided that the case related to Moulana Azad University be sent to the Law Department to get legal advice. The commission members also decided the issue of difficulties in obtaining minority status certificates, BC-A, BC-B and BC-C certificates by the people. They wold request the Chief Secretary to take action in resolving the issue immediately.

Further, for contempt of Commission directives, the Commission is also seeking legal advice from the Legal department for further action. It is also decided by the commission that whenever the hearings are conducted any two members should attend the hearing. The Commission will also write letters to MAUD to instruct HMDA, GHMC, Municipal Corporation, R &B and Public Health departments to resolve the issue of ‘not signing’ (delay in endorsement) on the estimates prepared by the minorities for sanction of funds.
